Job Desertion and Job Satisfaction as Predictors of Organizational Commitment Among Peruvian Regular Basic Education Teachers

Objective: To determine whether job desertion and satisfaction predict organizational commitment among Peruvian regular basic education teachers. Methods: Predictive study in 301 teachers of both sexes three regions (highlands, coast, jungle) Peru, where an intentional non-probabilistic sampling was applied. The information collected by the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), Teacher Satisfaction Scale (TSS) Job Desertion (JDQ) Cardozo. Results: It found that there is significant difference between men women variables (with exception desertion). In addition, moderate direct correlations were (p<0.01). regression analysis showed a linear relationship for model (F=18.07; p<0.001) which (?=0.241; (?=0.215; are (adjusted R2 = 0.102). Conclusion: significantly teachers.
